The governor's recent signing of an After School Data Bill (AB 2178), authored by Assembly Member Tom
Torlakson, gives after school program providers access to student academic data that will enable them to offer
high quality educational experiences, and better meet individualized student needs.

educational experiences, and better meet individualized student needs. The intent of the law is critical to the success
of all students, since it ensures that these will have high quality learning experiences both inside and outside of the
classroom.
